150mm Pencil Popper

The 150mm Pencil Popper is the largest of the CWOLF Pencil Popper range, weighing 38g. It was developed for striped bass fishing in Canada, where it has proved highly productive. My experience with it in UK conditions is more limited, so I would be interested to hear how other anglers get on with it here.
The lure has a long, slim profile designed to suggest a harassed baitfish moving quickly across the surface. It sinks when left at rest but rises to the surface as soon as you begin retrieving. A fairly fast retrieve, combined with short, sharp movements of the rod tip, brings it to life.
Its weight helps with casting distance and can be useful when fishing in surf, where lighter surface lures may be harder to work effectively.
Choose your weight and colour, then select Silent or Internal Rattle. All lures are supplied without hooks; optional assist rigging is available separately. Assist hook size #2/0 for this needle.
